Please take some time to read some important information regarding your booking at The Sensory Network.
Booking / Payments
Bookings are taken online at the time of booking your space via our website: https://thesensorynetwork.co.uk/booking/
Once full payment has been made, an email booking confirmation confirming your place and the dates included in your booking will be automatically emailed to you – it may head your junk folder so check in there too. It is your responsibility to check the term dates and venue have been correctly selected. Should there be an error, please inform us immediately so these can be rectified whilst the space on the term remains available. If you accidentally book onto the wrong class, please do- not rebook a place on your preferred class– instead contact Katie to ask for your ticket to be transferred onto another class: hello@thesensorynetwork.co.uk
Cancellation of Classes policy
We will endeavour to run classes during bad weather such as snow and ice however in some cases classes may have to be cancelled. Your Class Leader may also need to cancel on the rare occasion they are too unwell to run the class to the high standard you expect. Cancellations may also occur for several reasons outside of our control. In all cases, our Class Leaders will endeavor to update parents instantly through Instagram and then with a follow up email so please ensure all contact details are kept up to date, and ensure you are following us on Instagram / Facebook.
Should a class be cancelled on your current term, an additional class will be offered for a different date, usually at the end of the current term. If you are unable to attend this date, please notify your Class Leader in writing within 7 days of the offer made.
Supervision in class
Our classes at The Sensory Network are parents and child classes. Therefore all children must be supervised by the attending adult and must not be left unattended. The Sensory Network class teacher must not be asked to take responsibility for a child at any time.
We are an inclusive setting and welcome parents and children from all backgrounds, cultures, beliefs and learning needs. We will always strive to do our best to meet your needs and provide a safe and happy environment for everyone who attends. Please contact us if you have specific requirements you’d like us to consider: hello@thesensorynetwork.co.uk
Holidays and sickness
Regrettably, we cannot offer discounts or refunds for missed classes due to booked holidays that fall inside our term dates, or non-attendance due to illness. We advise all babies, toddlers and parents stay at home if they have a serious infection and to inform the class leader as to the nature of the infection so that other parents can be alerted, should they need to be.
Please stay at home if your child / you have any of the following:

- Ha had a high fever alongside ‘poorly’ symptoms in the previous 24 hours

- Measles
- Hand, foot, and mouth disease
- Norovirus
- Covid 19

NATIONAL LOCKDOWN:
Should there be a local or national lockdown and classes need to be put on hold, any classes still outstanding will be automatically rolled on to the next term once we are able top reopen face to face classes. Your place will be held, and you will be given a priority place once we reopen for a new term. If you are unable to attend, you may choose one of the following options:
- Re-gift your term to a friend or member of your family

We hope that you can choose from one of the above options, we do however realise this may not always be possible, please see your rights regarding refunds below.

You may exercise your right to a refund when classes are paused, and you are not able to attend the new dates offered. Please email us directly within 7 days of the pre-booked class: hello@thesensorynetwork.co.uk

Temporary Class changes
All venues used for The Sensory Network classes have been risk assessed and will follow their COVID 19 policies and procedures alongside our own.
During our continuing risk assessments, and to ensure we comply with any guidance and legislation changes it may become necessary for us to implement changes that are different to a typical class offered by The Sensory Network. Any disruption to the normal classes will always be minimal and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during any such times.
New term bookings
No later than 4 weeks before your current term ends, an email will be sent out informing you of the rebooking process, priority booking, term dates and all venues, payment terms and the links you will need to secure your space. Payment is taken at the time of booking via our online booking system. Even in the Priority Booking period that is offered to all families attending the current term, places remain on a first come first served basis.
Our commitment to Equal Opportunities
At The Sensory Network we are committed to ensuring that all equipment and activities are of value and worth to everyone regardless of race, culture, language, gender, age, experience, religion, beliefs, background, ability, or disability.
Data Protection
The information on any booking form contains personal data that will be kept secure in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Any information given to us through our online forms will not be passed onto a third party.
We know taking photos and videos capture memories that you can treasure so please feel at liberty to take as many as you’d like during your term. Please do not share any photos online that show the faces of other children and adults without prior permission.
Protection of Property
Please note that your property left in prams or bags is your responsibility and not the responsibility of The Sensory Network or the venue. Any items left at the venues will be collected by the class leader and brought back to class the following week.
Health & Safety and Hygiene Policies
At The Sensory Network we carry out rigorous checks before every class at each venue to ensure that all areas, including the bathrooms are clean and safe, and risk assessments are completed.
As part of our mission to keep our play space as clean and hygienic for the babies and children attending our classes, we kindly ask all parents and carers to remove their shoes while in class before stepping onto the mats, and for all snacks to be offered away from this area to avoid any children with allergies consuming dangerous foods.
