Little Senses Pre Crawlers – From around 3 months to sitting
For younger babies, our Womb to World class is the perfect place to begin before progressing into Pre Crawlers.
Little Senses Pre Crawlers is a gentle, nurturing sensory and developmental class, lovingly created for babies from around 3 months old as they begin to become more alert, curious and engaged with the world around them.
Held at Katie’s House, our dedicated home in East Grinstead, this class gives you and your baby time to slow down, play together and discover new ways to support their development, all within a warm, relaxed environment where feeding, cuddles, changing and sleepy babies are always welcome.
Supporting your baby’s rapidly developing brain:
During your baby’s first year, their brain undergoes an extraordinary period of growth and development. Every sound they hear, object they watch, texture they touch and movement they experience helps build and strengthen the neural pathways that form the foundations for future learning.
Our carefully planned weekly classes introduce your baby to meaningful sensory experiences through sound, movement, touch, visual play, music and much more.
But our classes go far beyond simply providing sensory play.
Unique to us, we explore your baby’s eight sensory systems, alongside activities designed to support motor development, body awareness, coordination, balance and early movement & motor milestone skills.
We also incorporate carefully considered activities that support sensory and primitive reflex integration, helping babies build strong foundations for their next developmental stages.
And we always explain the why behind what we do.
You’ll learn what each activity is supporting, why it matters for your baby’s development and simple ways you can continue the play at home.
Helping you navigate those first milestones
There is so much information about what babies should be doing that those early months can sometimes feel overwhelming.
At The Sensory Network, we don’t expect babies to follow a timetable.
Instead, we gently and expertly support you as your baby works towards their milestones in their own time.
Through play we explore skills including:
Tummy time • head and upper-body control • hands to midline • reaching and grasping • visual tracking • rolling • early sitting skills • coordination and body awareness
Most importantly, you’ll have a space where you can ask questions, meet other parents and enjoy your baby without pressure or judgement.
Is Pre Crawlers right for my baby?
Pre Crawlers is generally suitable from around 3 months until your baby is beginning to sit independently.
At this stage, your baby may be:
- Becoming increasingly alert and interested in their surroundings
- Beginning to reach towards, grasp and explore objects
- Bringing their hands together and to their mouth
- Developing stronger head and upper-body control
- Becoming happier spending time on their tummy
- Following people and objects more confidently with their eyes
- Beginning to explore rolling and other early movement patterns
- Becoming increasingly social and responsive to familiar voices, songs and faces
Your baby absolutely does not need to be doing all of these things to join us. Development looks different for every baby, and we will always meet your little one exactly where they are.

All of our Little Senses Pre Crawlers classes now take place at Katie’s House in East Grinstead – our dedicated home for The Sensory Network.
Katie’s House was created to be more than somewhere you simply arrive for a class and leave again. It’s a familiar, welcoming space for parents and little ones to grow in, make connections and feel completely at home.
Each week of Pre Crawlers is different, so you can join us at any point when you and your baby feel ready.
Baby younger than 3 months?
Start your journey with us in Womb to World, our specialist class created specifically for those precious first weeks together. When your baby is ready, you can then move seamlessly into Pre Crawlers.
