FAQ
WHAT AGE SHOULD MY BABY JOIN?

The one thing I say to parents when they ask me this questions is “join when YOU are ready.” As a new parent, the best thing you can do is take everything at your own pace and rushing to class will not be enjoyable for you. There is no right or wrong age to start attending The Sensory Network classes.

IS MY BABY TOO YOUNG?

Sensory play plays a vital role in the development of the brain and is essential for sensory integration and cognitive development. From birth, your baby’s brain begins to make over a trillion neuron connections and the more frequently these connections are used, the more they retain information and the stronger they become. Every new experience creates a new neural pathway, and in our classes, we gently and lovingly take babies into a sensory rich world that ignites their brain and lays the foundations for all future learning.

Many babies start from just a few days / weeks old.

WHAT IF MY BABY CRIES OR SLEEPS THROUGH THE CLASS?

Your baby’s voice is most welcome. Crying is your baby’s way of communicating with you and so we never want you to feel pressured or worried of your baby cries. Just scoop them up and cuddle them, feed them, walk around – tend to your baby in the way you feel most comfortable and is most soothing for your baby. You must never worry if your baby cries on our class.

CAN I BRING SIBLINGS?

In our Little Explorers and Little Learners class, siblings are more than welcome to come along. There is no charge for siblings to attend these classes until they are walking. In our Little Senses classes, older siblings are welcome to come along on inset days / half term holidays.

IS THERE A SIBLING DISCOUNT?

Yes, depending on the classes you book. If you have a non walking baby attending either Little Explorers or Little learners with their older sibling there is no charge. Once they are walking they will need to be booked into the class and will receive a 40% sibling discount.

If you have one child attending Little Explorers / Little Learners and specifically book into Little Senses with your baby, you are also entitled to a 40% discount. This can be applied at checkout.

I’M MISSING A CLASS – WHAT HAPPENS?

As per our T’s & C’s, missed classes are non refundable. However, you may gift your space to a friend, or alternatively you are welcome to make up the session at one of my other classes, space permitting.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH CLASS TO BOOK?

Our classes are offered by stage of development rather than by age as every little one develops and reaches milestones in their own time.
Little Senses Pre Crawlers – Newborn babies – sitting
Little Senses Pre Walkers – Sitter, crawlers, wobbly walkers
Little Explorers – Toddlers
Little Learners – Older Toddlers / Pre Schoolers

You can find a more in depth breakdown of our classes in the CLASSES tab on our homepage.

CAN MY PARTNER /CHILD’S GRANDPARENTS COME?

Of course! Partners, grandparents and family members are most welcome to join us in class. There is nothing more special than sharing these precious moments with your family.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

Your little one and anything they need: milk / nappies/ wipes / spare clothes / training potty / blanket. I will provide all the props needed for the class. All my venues have space for buggies and car seats.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

All class locations have either a car park and / or street parking.

At The Ark on Mondays you can park in the car park behind the venue. Drive through the gate at the end of the road and follow it all the way down to the car park. We enter through the big brown door just as you go through the gates (often ajar).

At St Marys Church Hall on Thursdays there is a small car park and plenty of street parking. We enter through the main Hall doors (not the church building).

At the Scout Centre in Copthorne on Fridays there is a small gravel car park, and parking across the road in the business park. We enter through the main door, or if you have a buggy you can come down the ramp and through the double doors.
